Services

A laboratory will often need integrated service delivery, possibly to provide a flexible approach to the laboratory.

Each project would be individually assessed when the requirements are for more complex service distribution and delivery. Schemes may include service pods, fitted within a suspended ceiling with flexible connections to benching, floor mounted service pods with mobile tables, overbench service booms or other bespoke solutions.

When services are required along a wall without benching there are ASSAB service plates and table frame service zones able to carry and conceal pipework all to match ASSAB bench types. Overbench reagent shelving units with piped services running inside a specially constructed zone with suspended outlets enable the worktop to be kept clear.

This allows electrical services, high and low voltage, data and telecommunications to run in compartmented trunking isolated and independent from the piped services.

Wet and dry service pipework, electrics and even data cabling can be distributed above ceiling level, with outlets and terminals in service pods strategically positioned within the ceiling grid. Benches are moveable underneath, connecting to the pods with flexible connections when the services are required.
